Dear Port Clinton Music Booster, The Port Clinton Music Booster Association is now completing the Annual Membership Drive. Music Boosters is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to support the vocal and instrumental music education of Port Clinton Middle School and High School. · A Booster is a Parent who works to support music education. · A Booster is an Alumnus who takes special interest in supporting music education. · A Booster is a Community Member who appreciates the value of a premier music program in education. Through these donations, Music Boosters provide transportation for the groups, sheet music and supplies, uniforms for marching and concert band, flag corps, jazz band, pep band, orchestra, chorus, choral, and Touch of Class, instrument purchases, refreshments and scholarships.
Like other programs, this organization is experiencing the pressure of increased costs for repairs, equipment, performances, and transportation.
Enclosed is the membership form. Please indicate your level of support as well as how you want your name printed in this year’s fall athletic program. To include your name in the program, membership forms are due prior to August 1, 2006. Membership forms will always be accepted after the 8-1-2006 deadline, but your name would not be published until the Winter athletic program.
New officers for 2006 have been elected and are: Kim Royster – President Amy Krupp – Vice President Gloria Alvarado – Secretary Bob Dodge – Treasurer
Music Booster meetings are held every 2nd Monday of the month at 7:30 PM in the vocal room at the high school. Your attendance, input and involvement is very much encouraged.
If you are interested in becoming more actively involved in the organization, please take a moment to fill out the volunteer form included with this letter. Committees and workers are currently forming to complete the many tasks of music boosters including the athletic field concession stand for 7th through varsity football games, the fruit sale, bus chaperones, uniform fitting and repair and distribution. The annual athletic booster/music booster auction is canceled this year and therefore new ways of fundraising are currently being explored.
